In PEAK, the cooperative climbing and survival game, your success hinges on more than just your climbing skills. It’s about smart resource management, knowing what items to prioritize, and understanding how to use every tool at your disposal. The island is filled with a vast array of items, from life-saving medical supplies to clever climbing gadgets and quirky collectibles. While some items are straightforward, others have hidden uses or can even be a detriment if used incorrectly. This comprehensive guide will break down every item in the game and explain its function, helping you and your team conquer the mountain and escape the mysterious island.

Survival and Restorative Items

These are the items you’ll rely on to keep yourself and your teammates alive. Managing your health, hunger, and status effects is crucial for a successful expedition.

  • Bandages: Heals a small amount of injury over time. Essential for minor falls and scrapes.
  • First-Aid Kit: Fully restores your health instantly. A must-have for emergencies.
  • Antidote: Cures the poison status effect. Very useful for when you accidentally eat a poisonous mushroom or berry.
  • Cure-All: The ultimate restorative. This item cures all status effects and fully restores your stamina.
  • Heat Pack: Instantly removes the frost status effect. A lifesaver in the cold Alpine biome.
  • Remedy Fungus: A throwable mushroom that releases a healing cloud when it hits the ground. It can heal and cure nearby players’ status effects.
  • Faerie Lantern (Legendary): A mystical item that slowly heals all players in a small radius over a limited time.
  • Scout Effigy: A single-use item that can be used to revive one dead teammate.
  • Cursed Skull (Legendary): A powerful but risky item. Using it will instantly kill you, but it will revive all nearby dead teammates with full stamina and health.
  • Pandora’s Lunchbox: A multi-use item that gives a random amount of hunger and a random status effect (both good and bad). It has a chance to fully heal and cure everything.

Food and Drink

Food is your primary source of stamina. Eating cooked food is always more efficient than eating it raw. You can cook food at a campfire or with a Portable Stove.

  • Generic Food (Fruits, Vegetables, Meat): Restores hunger. Cooking them once makes them more effective. Be careful with foraged foods; some, like certain mushrooms and berries, can be poisonous.
  • Marshmallow: Found near campfires, it restores a large amount of hunger when cooked.
  • Big Lollipop: Grants a short period of infinite stamina, followed by a severe fatigue debuff. Use it wisely for a crucial climb.
  • Energy Drink: Dramatically increases your climbing speed, but can also cause a temporary lethargy effect afterward.
  • Honeycomb: Restores a large amount of stamina and grants bonus stamina, but beware of the bees when collecting it from a hive.

Climbing and Traversal Gear

These are the tools that will get you up the mountain. Knowing how to use them effectively is the key to a successful climb.

  • Rope Spool: Deploys a 12.5-meter rope downward from a stable surface.
  • Rope Cannon: Fires a rope anchor, creating a rope that drops down for you to climb.
  • Anti-Rope Spool: Deploys a 12.5-meter rope that floats upward.
  • Anti-Rope Cannon: Fires a rope anchor that creates a rope that floats upward.
  • Chain Cannon: Fires a chain horizontally, creating a “rope bridge” you can walk across.
  • Piton: Can be placed on a climbable surface to create a temporary resting spot where you can recover stamina.
  • Shelf Shroom: A throwable mushroom that creates a small, temporary platform when it hits a wall.
  • Magic Bean: Throws a bean that, after a few seconds, grows into a massive, climbable beanstalk. Great for covering large vertical distances.
  • Portable Stove: A temporary stove that you can place to cook food and slowly cure frost damage. It cannot be picked back up once placed.

Miscellaneous and Utility Items

These items serve a variety of functions, from navigation to unlocking achievements.

  • Compass: A basic tool that points north.
  • Pirate’s Compass (Legendary): A rare and useful item that points to the nearest unopened luggage.
  • Lantern: Provides a light source and also keeps nearby players from freezing. It can be toggled on and off.
  • Flare: A temporary light source that emits a colored smoke, which can be used to mark locations or signal to teammates.
  • Bugle: A musical instrument that can be played for a capybara in the Alpine biome to unlock the “Animal Serenading Badge.”
  • Bugle of Friendship (Legendary): When played, this powerful item grants all nearby players infinite stamina for 10 seconds.
  • Bing Bong: A collectible plushie. Carrying it to the end of the game and escaping with it will unlock the “Bing Bong Badge.”
  • Scroll: A collectible item that, when used, turns into a Torn Page. Collecting all eight Torn Pages will unlock the “Bookworm Badge.”
  • Banana Peel: A prank item that can be dropped to cause other players (or yourself) to slip and take minor fall damage.
